We didn’t see much of Australia outside of the tennis grand slam, but the forests, mountains, and waterfalls we did see were beautiful. Going to the Australian Open (for tennis) everyday was more than a treat. Watching the pros practice right in front of you was so cool!
Our little collection of pro tennis players. The best part about being at a grand slam is...actually being at a grand slam! Watching amazing tennis live, a few feet away is so different from watching on tv. Being able to see the spin, see the players' frustration and sweat, and be in the midst of crazy diehard fans cheering for their countrymen. I am spoiled, I have to get to the US Open now.

The Black Spur is a narrow, winding road through the forests, heading up the mountains away from Melbourne. We did a tiny bit of hiking and saw a nice waterfall.

We didn't do that much outside of tennis in Melbourne. But the stuff we did see and do was pretty nice. We would like to come back some day to explore more of Australia.
